The French Dispatch trailer has just been released and everyone is hyped for Wes Anderson's latest movie starring the internet's very own heartthrob, Timothée Chalamet.
Set at an American newspaper in 20th-century France, the movie was inspired by Wes' love of The New Yorker (a weekly US publication), and centres on three storylines.

Speaking to French publication Charente Libre in April 2019, Wes himself admitted the plot isn't "easy" to grasp. He said: "The story is not easy to explain. [It’s about an] American journalist based in France [who] creates his magazine. It is more a portrait of this man, of this journalist who fights to write what he wants to write. It's not a movie about freedom of the press, but when you talk about reporters you also talk about what’s going on in the real world."
Although Wes wrote the screenplay for the movie, some of the characters and events in the film are actually based on real-life. For example, one of the three storylines follows May 68, a seven-week period of demonstrations and protests that occurred in France in May 1968. Of course, Timothée (Zeffirelli) and Lyna Khoudri (Juliette) play the perfect student revolutionaries.
Timothée is of course not alone in the movie, he'll be joined by an all-star cast. Bill Murray, Saoirse Ronan, Tilda Swinton, Elisabeth Moss, Benicio del Toro, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and many more star in the film.
