Evelyn Evernever, played by Canadian actress Zoe De Grand'Maison, was introduced in episode two but who is she? Who plays her? And what does she have to do with the Farm and Betty's seizures?
It's all kicking off in Riverdale and we're only three episodes in. So far in season 3, we've seen Archie beaten to pulp and join an underground prison fight club, we've seen two boys die after playing 'Gryphons and Gargoyles' (RIP Dilton and Ben) and we've just been introduced to one of the creepiest characters Riverdale has ever seen - Evelyn Evernever played by Zoe De Grand'Maison.
In episode 2, we were introduced to Evelyn Evernever and in episode 3, it became very clear to viewers that she was not to be trusted. After confronting Betty about her seizure, and appearing to just stand and watch as Ethel suffered from one herself, Evelyn has found herself the subject of a very suspicious - and sinister - theory.
But before we get into that, we need to lay down a few facts, like who is Evelyn, who is the actress that plays her and how on earth could she have caused Betty's seizure?
Evelyn Evernever is the daughter of Edgar Evernever, the leader of the farm/cult that Polly and Alice are now heavily involved in. At some point over the summer, Evelyn has moved to Riverdale and is now a student at Riverdale High. Described as "otherworldly, seemingly omnipresent, and a bit odd," Evelyn takes particular interest in Betty, who is yet to succumb to the beliefs of the farm. She's always hovering, she always looks sus and needless to say, Betty doesn't like or trust her. In episode 3, it becomes clear that Evelyn is attempting to recruit students to join the farm by holding support groups at school.
Evelyn is played by 23-year-old Canadian actress Zoe De Grand'Maison. If Zoe looks a little familiar to you, that's because you'll probably recognise her from her role on Orphan Black, where she played the recurring role of Gracie Johanssen. And yes, she also looks like Sadie Sink from Stranger Things, we know.
So far, both Betty and Ethel have suffered seizures and both times, Evelyn has been present. Betty also had a wobble in episode three while Evelyn was in her house. Of course, her presence could all just be a red herring to throw us off the real reason behind the seizures, but fans are now speculating that Evelyn has something to do with them. But how - and why?

EVELYN EVERNEVER was there when Betty had seizure and when Ethel had seizure. Two separate occasions. Definitely not a coincidence. I bet she has something to do with whatever’s going on.
Can we just talk about how ethel had a seizure and evelyn evernever was just staring #riverdale

So if Evelyn does have something to do with the seizures, how is she doing it? One theory suggests that she's been working with Polly and other members of the farm and tampering with people's medication.
When Betty was confronted by Alice and Polly over her therapist, Polly was the one that handed back Betty's prescription. That night, Betty passed out and had a seizure. In episode 3, we find out that Evelyn has also befriended Ethel and has been helping her titrate down her own medication (basically weaning her off them). As we know, the farm is very much into natural remedies as opposed to pharmaceuticals but could Evelyn be using poor health as a weird recruitment tactic for the cult?
Another theory suggests that Ethel didn't have a seizure at all and was just told to fake it by Evelyn in order to distract Betty who was already suspicious of her. And then there's the suggestion that the two seizures might not even be connected. Betty's episode appeared to be a symptom of Adderall withdrawal whereas Ethel's could be a side effect of playing Gryphons and Gargoyles. Does Evelyn also have something to do with that damn game too?
Either way, Evelyn is shady AF and not to be trusted. It's going to be a while until her mysterious father appears in town (Edgar is rumoured to appear in the second half of the season) so until then, we guess we'll just keep tabs on lil' miss Evernever and her suspicious little self.
