"I’m excited to see what the fans think.” Drake Bell confirms that he and Josh Peck have been working on a new project together.
Following a secret Viacom meeting that had fans convinced a Drake & Josh reboot was in the works, the dynamic duo behind the Nickelodeon sitcom have confirmed they are working on a project together. Speaking to PEOPLE, Drake Bell and hinted that he and Josh Peck were developing something that "will be more adult and really funny".
“I’m excited. I think we have a great idea," Bell told the publication on Thursday's iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet.
Drake didn't spill a ton of details about the project but said that they knew their comeback would have to be for a really solid idea. "We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.” The two are currently shopping the show to networks, Bell told PEOPLE.
The pair have worked together in recent times. Bell even appeared in a 2016 episode of Peck's show, Grandfathered. Earlier this year Drake and Josh revisited some of their "cringiest" videos together in a hilarious YouTube video.

Peck has also had Miranda Cosgrove (who played Megan) on his YouTube channel and refers to her as his "sister". There is no word on whether Cosgrove could be in the project.
Drake Bell and Josh Peck have worked together since their early days on Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show. The pair went on to star in Drake & Josh which ran from 2004-2007 before airing a final film, Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh, in 2008. Though there was brief tension over Josh Peck not inviting Drake Bell to his 2017 wedding, the pair have mended fences and are working together on this new and mysterious project.
