Skai Jackson calls out Twitter trolls for claiming that she had been murdered

This is seriously fucked up.
Actress and activist Skai Jackson has called out Twitter trolls who started a hashtag claiming that she had been murdered.
Yesterday (Feb 5), messages started circulating that Skai had been "brutally murdered last night". One tweet, typical of some of the messages, would include a picture of Ariana Grande holding a gun with the caption: "this was the last thing Skai Jackson saw before she died".
Another Twitter user wrote: "BREAKING NEWS: “Austin and Ally” star, @Raini_Rodriguez was just found guilty for killing @skaijackson. Reportedly, Raini did this because Skai was skinnier and Raini was jealous." Eventually, a hashtag #ripskaijackson spread across the platform and came to the attention of Skai herself.
Y’all are actually sick. https://t.co/xMi3iwNu7g

Go get a job, go to school, do something other than sit behind your computer and start a hashtag saying I’m dead. You look nutssss

Skai didn't take too kindly to the tweets, as you might expect.
"Go get a job, go to school, do something other than sit behind your computer and start a hashtag saying I’m dead. You look nutssss" she wrote. "Y’all are actually sick."
Perhaps her most succinct tweet was this: "This is not a funny joke at all... who has the TIME?!" Amen to that.

It's really not that difficult to understand, is it? Lying about people's 'brutal murder' isn't funny. It can actually be quite upsetting for their friends and family if they come across the rumour. Obviously it's highly offensive to the person too. How would you like it if people were imagining your own death? It's not nice and it's certainly not ok.
