Captain Marvel and Thor romance theories are brewing and it's all thanks to the new Avengers: Endgame trailer.

Ever since Avengers: Infinity War came out last year, fans have been desperate to find out what happens next. Will any of our faves return from the dead? Will any of our living faves die? Who will stop Thanos in his tracks? Thankfully, it now looks like we have an answer to that last question. Captain Marvel is coming and she is powerful AF. Not only that but it now seems like she and Thor might have a romance brewing.

That being said, other MCU fans think that Captain Marvel may actually be lesbian. So what is the truth?

Do Captain Marvel and Thor get together? Is Captain Marvel gay?

Yesterday (Mar 15), the MCU released a brand new trailer for Avengers: Endgame and, in it, we see Captain Marvel meet the Avengers for the first time (well second, if you've been to see Captain Marvel). The scene is short but iconic. Thor summons his hammer right next to Captain Marvel's head. Captain Marvel doesn't flinch at all but eyes him up and Thor says: "I like this one".

It's not much to go on but there definitely is some chemistry there, be it as friends, allies or more, and the internet is already going wild with theories that the two superheroes may fall in love. As far as the comics go, this isn't ever explored but there is nothing to say that Marvel couldn't change things up in Endgame. As two of the strongest avengers, it would be a major deal.

On the other side of things, some fans think that Captain Marvel may be lesbian. There are theories that she and Maria were more than just friends (they raised a child together) and some are shipping her and Valkyrie. Again this isn't covered in the comics (Carol Danvers is straight) but other iterations of Captain Marvel are queer and Carol could be gay in the films.
