Boyce, best known for his roles on 'Descendants' and 'Jessie', passed away in his sleep after a seizure.
Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce has died aged 20, following a seizure brought on by an "on going medical condition." He passed away in his sleep.
News of his death was confirmed by his family in a statement to ABC News on Saturday (July 6). "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron," the statement reads.
"He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.
"We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother."
Cameron was best known for playing the roles of Carlos in the Descendants franchise (with Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart) and Luke Ross in Jessie alongside Debbie Ryan, Peyton List and Skai Jackson. He also appeared in Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2.
He was also working in several projects at the time of his passing, including new HBO series Mrs Fletcher. Descendants 3 will be released posthumously in August 2019.
Cameron was also involved in The Thirst Project, an initiative to bring clean water to underdeveloped countries. He raised over $27,000 in 40 days.
His friends and fans have been sharing their tributes on social media.
Life is so precious. Cameron Boyce was a light. Sending love to all of my friends and to his family at this time. My heart is heavy tonight.

R.I.P Cameron Boyce. I can't believe this is happening. He was only 20. He practically grew up with me. He had his whole life ahead of him. His smile, his unique, bright, happy personality, everything about him will be missed. Rest easy, love. Thank you for all the laughs 🕊❤ pic.twitter.com/oDdD5nnYQu
