Bella Thorne has responded after a hacker threatened to leak private photos of her on Twitter.
Last week, Bella Thorne made headlines after her Twitter account was hacked and overrun with graphic and inappropriate content. The hacker shared racist, pornographic, and private information, including DMs with YouTuber Jake Paul. They also threatened to leak nude photos of Bella.
After the incident, Bella posted her own nudes Twitter and a message about taking back control from the person who hacked her account.
"Fuck u and the power u think you have over me. I’m gonna write about this in my next book," the actress tweeted along with some NSFW photos of herself and a message typed out in her iPhone notes app.
Bella Thorne posted her own nudes and a message to her hacker.
"Yesterday as u all know all my shit was hacked. For the last 24 hours I have been threatened with my own nudes I feel gross, I feel watched, I feel someone has taken something from me that I only wanted one special person to see."
"He has sent me multiple nude photos of other celebs, he won't stop with me or them he will just keep going."
"For too long I let a man take advantage of me over and over and I'm fucking sick of it. I'm putting this out because it's MY DECISION NOW U DON'T GET TO TAKE YET ANOTHER THING FROM ME."
"I can sleep tonight better knowing I took my power back. U can't control my life u never will. Here's the photos he's been threatening me with, in other words here's my boobies. So here fuck u, and the last 24 hours I have been crying instead of celebrating my book while doing my book press. Oh yeah, the fbi will be at your house shortly, so watch. Your. Mother. Fuckin. Back."
Hackers who have engaged in similar behaviour have been brought to justice in recent months. Last year, a 26-year-old man who hacked the private iCloud accounts of celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Kirsten Dunst was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to his role in the plot to reveal private photos of A-list celebrity women.
