Here's what Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and the rest of the cast made...
Avengers: Endgame is set to become one of the highest grossing films of all time, so it's no surprise that the cast were paid huge amounts for it.
'I love you 3000' memes are going viral and it's all thanks to Avengers: Endgame
Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe launched with Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man in 2008, it's been a huge success. In 11 years, the franchise has grossed over $20 billion dollars with 22 films. Not only that, but Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, The Avengers and Black Panther are all among the top 10 highest grossing movies of all time. As it stands, Avengers: Endgame has made over $1.6 billion in a week. What were the cast paid for it though?
WARNING: This article features big Avengers: Endgame spoilers below, so stop reading if you haven't seen the film yet.
Avengers: Endgame was made with a budget of $356 million. How was that number divided among the cast and crew?
It should come as no surprise that Robert Downey Jr. made the most out of any Avengers: Endgame actor. Not only did he literally kickstart the MCU with Iron Man but he is also the central character in Endgame. Tony Stark both creates the time travel machine that allows the Avengers to save the universe and sacrifices himself to save it again when Thanos intervenes. RIP king.
Robert reportedly negotiated with Marvel to be paid $75 million for his final (or so it seems) film in the MCU franchise. This is a huge increase from the $500,000 he earned in the first Iron Man film before the MCU established itself as a blockbuster hit making machine. Robert's net worth is estimated to be around $300 million.
Avengers: Endgame (2019) - $75 million
Iron Man (2008) - $500,000
Net Worth - $300 million
Chris Evans is arguably the second biggest star of Avengers: Endgame. Captain America is not only at the centre of multiple memorable scenes in Endgame (the ass scenes!!!) but his story rounds up in the film. After returning all of the Infinity stones back to where they belong in time, Steve Rogers stays in the past and grows old with the love of his life, Peggy. Our hearts.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Chris made $20 million for Endgame which is 20 times the size of what he was paid for his first MCU movie: Captain America: The First Avenger. He is reported to have a net worth of $50 million.
Avengers: Endgame (2019) - $20 million
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) - $1 million
Net Worth - $50 million
Much like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson had an integral role in Avengers: Endgame. Black Widow not only kept the Avengers together in the years after the snap, she sacrificed herself later so that they could retrieve all of the Infinity Stones and bring back everyone Thanos killed.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Scarlett was paid $20 million for Avengers: Endgame which is what she will also earn for the Black Widow solo film that is currently in production. Scarlett has an estimated net worth of $140 million.
Avengers: Endgame (2019) - $20 million
Black Widow (2020) - $20 million
Net Worth - $140 million
Thor had a dramatic storyline in Avengers: Endgame. After the events of the snap, he fell into depression and gained weight. Fans are divided over what happens to him and how it's handled, but it's safe to say that he is a key part of Endgame and it looks like he will now feature in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that Chris earned $15 million for Avengers: Endgame. By comparison he was paid, $150,000 for the first Thor film. His net worth is reportedly $90 million.
Avengers: Endgame (2019) - $20 million
Thor (2011) - $150,000
Net Worth - $90 million
Hulk was lowkey the star of Avengers: Endgame. Not only did Mark Ruffalo provide much of the comic levity in the film but it didn't take long before Hot Hulk took over social media. Plus Bruce Banner literally brought back everyone from the dead by using the Avengers' infinity gauntlet.
It hasn't been reported but it seems likely that Mark would have probably earned a very similar amount to Chris, Scarlett and Chris for Avengers: Endgame. While Mark didn't play Hulk in the original Hulk movie, he reportedly made $3 million for The Avengers. He has a net worth of $30 million.
Avengers: Endgame (2019) - $20 million (TBC)
The Avengers (2012) - $3 million
Net Worth - $90 million
Jeremy Renner may not have starred in Avengers: Infinity War but Hawkeye was a key character in Avengers: Endgame and, without him, Thanos would have succeeded.
Like Mark, Jeremy's Avengers: Endgame salary hasn't been reported but we imagine that it would be in a similar range to Chris, Scarlett and Chris as well. Jeremy also reportedly made $3 million for The Avengers and is estimated to have a net worth of $50 million.
Avengers: Endgame (2019) - $20 million (TBC)
The Avengers (2012) - $3 million
Net Worth - $50 million
Paul Rudd really did the damn thing in Avengers: Endgame. Not only did he show the Avengers that time travel was possible but he was also hilarious and charming and heartwarming throughout. A king.
There are no reports on what Paul Rudd made for Avengers: Endgame but he made $1.5 million for Ant-Man in 2015 with an initial salary of $300,000. He has a reported net worth of $30 million.

Captain Marvel literally kept the universe safe while the Avengers protected Earth. She is a queen. Oh, and she saved Tony Stark from dying in space. Carol Danvers may not have featured greatly in Avengers: Endgame but all of her scenes were iconic.
It's never been publicly revealed how much Brie made for Avengers: Endgame but we imagine that it's a little bit more than her Captain Marvel salary, which earned her $5 million. Brie has a net worth of $10 million.

Black Panther didn't have much screen time in Avengers: Endgame sadly due to it being filmed before Black Panther came out and T'Challa dying in the original snap. Chadwick Boseman remains a king who was key to defeating Thanos though.
His Avengers: Endgame salary is unknown but he earned $2 million for Black Panther and has a net worth of $8 million.

Tom Holland (Spider-Man) also lost out on screen time in Avengers: Endgame due to dying in the original snap but Peter Parker still had multiple emotional scenes with Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of the cast.
No word on his Avengers: Endgame salary but he was paid $500,000 for Spider-Man: Homecoming. His net worth is $4 million.
After being a central figure in Avengers: Infinity War, Chris Pratt was pretty absent in Avengers: Endgame. Peter Quill also died in the original snap. He still came through with some hilarious moments in Endgame.
His Avengers: Endgame salary is unknown but he earned $1.5 million for Guardians of the Galaxy and has a reported net worth of $40 million.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2019) - $1.5 million

Like Black Panther, Spider-Man and Star Lord, Dr. Strange was disintegrated in the snap. Stephen still was on hand in the final Avengers: Endgame battle though.
There is no confirmation on Benedict's Avengers: Endgame salary. However, he made $6.4 million for Dr. Strange and his net worth is $30 million.
