This is not cool...

Ariel Winter may be best known for her starring role as Alex on Modern Family but she is also a brilliant public spokesperson for a variety of important matters. Since coming into the spotlight as a child actress, the award winning star has never shied away from speaking up about major topics that she's experienced ranging from emancipation to breast reduction surgery.

Not only that but Ariel also brings her day to day activism to her social media. The 20-year-old is never afraid to clapback at internet trolls, encourage body positivity and remind people that slut-shaming is in no way acceptable. Essentially she is a queen and she should be protected at all costs. We adore her with every fibre of our beings.

On Sunday Ariel went onto Instagram and Twitter to share a photo of herself with the caption "Honestly the ONLY reason I’m posting this is because I’ve never seen a more accurate photo of myself". Just your average social media antics. The image is a stunning still of her with her arms crossed staring into the distance.

Here is Ariel's original tweet.

The picture is still up on Twitter in all of its glory. However, Instagram has removed it. Understandably, Ariel was angered by the action and took to the photo sharing platform to express her disdain. She wrote: "What in the fuck @instagram ?? Lol they removed my photo because it violated someone else’s rights? It’s literally a photo of me that someone sent me on Twitter?"

This is Ariel's initial response to it being taken down.

The still itself is a paparazzi shot and, even though it's an image of Ariel, technically by law only the photographer has rights to it. Instagram has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sharing content that's not legally yours, so if someone reports this kind of post, they take it down. Still, Ariel has a valid point. She should be able to post any photo that's literally of her.

Ariel then went on to repost the photo.

Ever the living legend, Ariel pointed out the irony of her photo being removed for "violating someone else's copyright" when the person who took the snap "violated [Ariel's] space" in the first place. If people are lawfully able to take paparazzi photos of celebrities, then surely they should be able to post them on their social media accounts.

Ariel ended the post writing: "Will repost every time it’s taken down ❤️❤️❤️ 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼".

We shall stan her until the end of time.
