Anna Cathcart said it was something quite subtle that convinced the casting team that she would be THE perfect choice for Kitty Covey.
Anna Cathcart was, without a doubt, a standout in Netflix's To All The Boys I've Loved Before. The 15-year-old actress caused major mischief as Kitty Covey, the youngest of three sisters and, by far, the biggest troublemaker.
The road to Kitty was probably a huge journey for Anna and the young actress recently revealed the one small thing she did in her audition that apparently impressed the casting team.
In an interview with Vulture, Anna revealed that it was the way she sat during her final audition that sealed the deal.
"When I was in the room, they said, 'just get comfortable and read the lines,' so I sat cross-legged on my chair and apparently that made all the difference. They told me afterwards that once I sat like that, they knew I would be perfect for Kitty, that I could take directions and everything. I didn’t know something so subtle could make such a difference. "
Who knew something like that could make SUCH a huge difference? The small gesture probably proved that Anna could get comfortable with her character and listen to specific instructions, something that is key on a busy set!
Of course, Anna went on to do a great job as the outspoken and mischief prone Kitty Covey.
Up next for Anna is Descendants 3, due out in 2019, which will see the actress reprise her role as Dizzy Tremaine.
