'American Horror Story' Fans Are Losing It Over The Venable/Cordelia Crossover On ‘Apocalypse'

The twist has inspired an array of hilarious memes...

It's no secret that American Horror Story is prone to shocking fans. Ever since its inception, the beloved series has surprised us with everything from aliens and vampires to serial killers and ghosts. Not only that but pretty much every single season of the show comes with a plot twist that makes us question literally everything (we're looking at you Roanoke). And it turns out that Apocalypse is no different.

Just three episodes in and Ryan Murphy is really shaking the table. It's the end of the world, a select group of humans have been chosen to survive in an Outpost and the Antichrist (hello Michael Langdon) is wreaking havoc. In fact it turns out that thanks to him all of the Outpost guests have been murdered and now the Coven witches (Cordelia, Madison, Myrtle) have arrived to clear things up.

It's the sudden Sarah Paulson change that fans can't stop talking about though.

In mere moments, we've gone from seeing Sarah play the tyrannical matriarch Venable governing over the Outpost (R.I.P.) to seeing her return as the loveable supreme Cordelia (legend). In episode three of Apocalypse, it looks like Venable is about to get her way (she poisons all of The Outpost guests with Ms. Meade). However, Michael then forces Ms. Meade to turn on Venable and kill her.

The death caused longterm Paulson fans to briefly gasp but seconds later, Cordelia storms into the Outpost like a boss and brings Mallory, Dinah and Coco back to life like it's no big deal. In other words, the episode was an emotional rollercoaster and Sarah stans are still recovering. In fact the whole Sarah ordeal was so amazing/traumatic that people are turning it into memes.
