American Horror Story fans think Lily Rabe is joining the AHS: 1984 cast

The return of several previous cast members have already been teased for this season.

American Horror Story: 1984 is now in full swing and, after four episodes, we've already seen an impressive body count.

With no mainstays like Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson or Kathy Bates on the cast, the slasher season has relied on Emma Roberts and the more recent additions to the series like Billie Lourd and Cody Fern to bring the deadly summer camp theme to life. And honestly? It's working really well.

But fans are now speculating that an original cast member could be returning in episode 7, titled 'The Lady in White'. Thanks to some suspicious social media activity and a listing for a stunt double on IMDb, rumours are swirling that Lily Rabe could soon be appearing on the season.

Now, before we get into this, let me throw a little disclaimer out there. The main source of this info is IMDb, which as we all know, is not a reliable source as anyone with an account can add or change details on a cast list.

Sometimes they're wrong (like when Lily was previously listed to appear in Cult), and sometimes they're accurate as we just found out with Hart Denton on 13 Reasons Why when his stunt double was listed in the crew for one of the episodes for the new season.

So, why does the fandom think Lily Rabe is coming back to the show? Her name is currently swirling around Twitter because a stunt double has been listed for her alongside Angelica Ross in episode 7. (The stunt double listing was how fans discovered that Denton would be appearing on 13RW.)

For now, this all remains completely unconfirmed but fans have also noted how current cast member Billie Lourd recently followed Lily and Lily recently followed and then unfollowed Matthew Morrison.

Rumours are also swirling that Sarah Paulson could have a small role in the same episode but those reports are also completely unconfirmed. She is said to have a small role in the season, however, so stay tuned. Leslie Jordan (Coven, Roanoke) is also rumoured to be appearing in an episode.

As one of the OG cast members, Lily's potential appearance in this OG cast member-less ninth season would send the fans into meltdown. Her appearance as Misty Day in Apocalypse was iconic but was far too short and sweet for all of our likings.

Like we said, and we cannot stress this enough, the reports are currently unconfirmed (!!!!) but we'll let you know if anything changes.
