'After' has finished filming and has dropped two new trailers ahead of its spring release. The massively popular series that began on Wattpad is finally coming to the big screen. What can fans expect from Anna Todd's vision as it hits theatres?
Anna Todd's hugely successful 'After' book series is being brought to the big screen. Two trailers for After have dropped, so far, including one that arrived on February 14, 2019. More than five years after the author penned the book on Wattpad, the Harry Styles inspired fanfiction has finished filming and will head to theatres in Spring 2019. So, how did this Wattpad book become a film? When can fans see it in theatres? And who will star in After? Here's everything you need to know.

In 2013, Anna Todd began work on a One Direction inspired series that she published to Wattpad. The After series quickly gained traction, garnering over a billion reads on the digital publishing platform.
In 2014, Anna Todd landed a book deal with Simon and Schuster. Though initially sold to Paramount Pictures, it will now be distributed by Aviron Pictures.
After has been moving along in development, with casting announcements finally arriving in 2018.
On July 17, 2018, Anna shared a message with her fans on Wattpad: "Sitting on the set of AFTER and I am thinking of all of you. I am so excited that cameras started filming OUR movie today. I am so excited that Hardin and Tessa are coming to life."
After is being directed by Jenny Gage (Lenny, All This Panic).
According to IMDb, After can be expected to hit theaters on April 12, 2019.
On Valentine's Day 2019, a second and longer trailer for After dropped. The February 14 trailer shows Hardin and Tessa becoming closer as they explore their undeniable attraction.

On November 21, 2018, the first trailer for After dropped. It offered a steamy first look at the upcoming film, including intimate shots of the film's leads Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.
A young, fresh faced cast has been assembled for the After movie. Australian actress Josephine Langford with play the film's lead, Tessa Young. Hero Fiennes Tiffin will appear opposite Josephine as Hardin Scott.
The After film is based on the novel by Anna Todd. Originally a Harry Styles inspired fanfiction, After tells the story of a young woman named Tessa who meets Hardin–a bad boy with an irresistible British accent.
Though Tessa already has a boyfriend, her move into freshman college dorms ushers in new experiences and new feelings for Hardin.
