After, the movie adaptation of a YA novel written by Anna Todd, will be available on Netflix from July.
After is headed to Netflix UK and Ireland this July. Fans will soon be able to watch the film starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin on the platform from July 12.
After, which was released in April this year, was adapted from the popular Wattpad YA novel by Anna Todd. Originally conceived as a Harry Styles fanfic, the film's actors have since distanced themselves from the project's Harry Styles related origins.
After tells the story of a girl named Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) who falls for "bad boy" Hardin Scott, played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin. When Tessa heads to university, she leaves behind a boyfriend at home but soon finds herself drawn to brooding Hardin Scott.
Despite its limited release, the film has done relatively well, grabbing the lion share of its $65 million box office earnings from overseas audiences.
After has already announced that a sequel is in the works, with Anna Todd writing the screenplay for the upcoming film. After We Collided is also expected to see the film's two leads return to their roles.
Unfortunately for Netflix US audiences, it does not look like After is being added for them – at least not yet. It also doesn't look like After will be headed to Netflix Australia in July.
