Is Warped Tour coming back? Founder Kevin Lyman replied to a fan on Twitter teasing the return.
Emo kids, look alive because the iconic Vans Warped Tour could be making a comeback... but with a completely different name.
The legendary tour that helped launch the careers of multiple bands and artists, such as Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Paramore and even Katy Perry, came to an end in 2018. The festival then returned in 2019 for one final 3-date run in honour of its 25th anniversary.

Now, founder Kevin Lyman has teased that a brand new event could return in 2021.

In response to a fan on Twitter who wrote "If @KevinLyman doesn’t bring Warped Tour back next summer, there’s nothing for us emo kids to live for," Lyman teased, "It might just be called something else."
For now, that's all Lyman has revealed. Fans are now speculating whether it would be a standard festival, or even a cruise. They're also suggesting names for the event, including 'Converse Warped Tour'. Lol. Imagine.

But while the news that a brand new incarnation of the festival could soon return, it might not happen until then end of 2021, thanks coronavirus concerns.
In a roundtable discussion for The New York Times discussing whether or not it would be ethical to re-open the American economy within the next few months, healthcare expert Zeke Emanuel warned that concerts, festivals and sporting events will be "the last to return" and may not go back to normal until "fall 2021 at the earliest".
"Restarting the economy has to be done in stages, and it does have to start with more physical distancing at a work site that allows people who are at lower risk to come back," Emanuel explained.
"Certain kinds of construction, or manufacturing or offices, in which you can maintain six-foot distances are more reasonable to start sooner. Larger gatherings – conferences, concerts, sporting events – when people say they’re going to reschedule this conference or graduation event for October 2020, I have no idea how they think that’s a plausible possibility."
But no matter how long we have to wait, at least all the emo kids have something exciting to look forward to, ey?
