6ix9ine will probably need protection after testifying against gang members.
Things aren't looking too good for Tekashi 6ix9ine right now and they're about to get a whole lot worse. The 'Fefe' rapper is known for his distinctive collection of tattoos and rainbow-coloured hair, but he might have to change his whole look when he's eventually released from prison.

6ix9ine – born Daniel Hernandez – is currently in jail for racketeering and firearms charges in connection with the Nine Trey Bloods gang. Tekashi began spilling all the details of the gang's crimes (see: 6ix9ine snitch memes) to have his sentence reduced and now he needs protection.

There are fears for his life and the lives of his family members because of the information he's given to the police. "I knew I was going to become a target," 6ix9ine said in court. "I knew they were going to try and hurt me."
In prison, 6ix9ine is being kept with other informants for his own safety but when he is released he could enter the eye witness protection program, the The New York Times reports.
That would mean dropping his rapper persona, becoming a new person and fading into obscurity. But there's one thing that makes Tekashi a prime target – his tattoos. He has a massive "69" tattooed on his face and body… yeah, probably not best for someone who is trying to lay low.
Of course, he could change his name, chop off his colourful hair and change his style, but there's absolutely no chance you'd miss his distinctive face tats. To get rid of his signature face tattoos, 6ix9ine would have to foot the expensive bill of getting them removed.
Tattoo removal is very painful and pricey, and it often takes multiple sessions for total removal. But you can't really put a price on staying alive.
