Scooter Braun's net worth has risen since buying Big Machine Records.
Scooter Braun already had an enormous net worth but, now that he owns Taylor Swift's masters, it's even bigger.
Music mogul Scooter Braun is currently in the midst of a very public industry drama with Taylor Swift. Yesterday (Jun 30), the manager revealed that he bought Big Machine Records for $300 million. Scooter is yet to respond but the news has left fans wondering who Scooter manages and what his net worth is.
Who does Scooter Braun manage? What is his net worth?
As it stands, Scooter is reportedly worth a whopping $400 million. His recent business deals will no doubt see this increase in the coming months. By comparison Taylor Swift reportedly has a net worth of $320 million, which just goes to prove that more often than not, music industry executives make more money than their artists actually do. And Scooter represents many of the biggest artists in music right now.
Scooter is perhaps most famous for managing Justin Bieber. Scooter discovered Justin, via his videos on YouTube when he was just 13-years-old, and has represented him ever since. Scooter's other main artist is Ariana Grande and he also works with Carly Rae Jepsen, Hilary Duff and Tori Kelly. Not to mention, he recently signed a deal with Demi Lovato and also collaborates regularly with Kanye West.
Following the release of Taylor's Tumblr statement, many artists have taken to social media to criticise Scooter. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato have defended him. We shall keep you informed if there are any further updates.
