19. Lizzo was accused of a creating a hostile work environment by three former dancers.
On 2 August 2023, Lizzo was named in a lawsuit that accused her of creating a hostile work environment. Three former dancers say the pop star subjected them to sexual and racial discrimination, fat shaming and physical and emotional abuse. Lizzo issued a statement on Instagram denying the claims, calling them “unbelievable, too outrageous and sensationalized”. Lizzo’s lawyer has said the star intends to sue her former backup dancers for “malicious prosecution”.
