Stranger Things star Joe Keery has released a new solo single and we're betting Steve Harrington would be a big fan.
Stranger Things star Joe Keery just dropped his first release as a solo artist under the moniker Djo. Joe shared his new song, "Roddy", a psychedelic, pop-infused jam with definite 'hazy summer night' energy.
Joe shared the news with his 6.6 million Instagram followers, first posting a clip on Instagram, followed by the black and white single art a few days later.
Fans of the actor and musician will know that he was previously in a band called Post Animal but left due to acting commitments. In 2018, Keery told Bustle: "It’s important to disassociate Steve from Stranger Things to the band because I think it will eventually hurt the band."

Stranger Things appears to have an unusually musical cast. Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink and Caleb McLaughlin are all Broadway veterans. Meanwhile, Finn Wolfhard is in the band Calpurnia, which is signed to Royal Mountain Records.
Joe hasn't said much about his new project but it's safe to say we're going to need more after hearing "Roddy".
Meanwhile, you can look forward to seeing Joe in the upcoming Shawn Levy directed Free Guy, alongside Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) and Taika Waititi (Thor Ragnarok). And, of course, you can catch Joe as defacto Scoop's Troop leader, Steve, on Stranger Things.
