Doja Cat thanks Nicki Minaj after scoring first Number 1 with ‘Say So’
Dr. Luke has received his first Grammy nomination for 'Say So' since Kesha made sexual assault allegations against him.
The Grammys are facing huge backlash after giving Dr. Luke his first nomination since Kesha accused him of sexual assault.
In 2014, Kesha filed a series of lawsuits against Dr. Luke, alleging that he had sexually assaulted her. Dr. Luke is a pop music producer most famous for co-writing hit songs like 'Since U Been Gone', 'I Kissed a Girl' and 'Girlfriend'. Since Kesha came forward, most artists have stopped working with Dr. Luke, however, he has appeared on multiple credits in recent years.

Most notably, Dr. Luke co-wrote Doja Cat's Number 1 single 'Say So' under the pseudonym Tyson Trax and now he's received a Grammy nomination for it.
Yesterday (Nov 25), the Grammy Awards committee announced that 'Say So' had been nominated for Record of the Year at the ceremony. Record of the Year is one of the four main awards at the Grammys and it goes to the artist, the producer, the recording engineer and the mixer of the song that wins. In other words, Dr. Luke has a Grammy nomination for 'Say So'.
Given the allegations against Dr. Luke, people are outraged that the Grammys would nominate him. It's also not even three years since Kesha received a standing ovation for her performance of 'Praying' at the Grammys, a song about her finding peace in the wake of the trauma that she's experienced in recent years.
One person tweeted: "Dr. Luke claims his career was “ruined” due to Kesha coming forward as a victim of him, and is suing her for damages. Today he was nominated for ‘Song of the Year’ by the @RecordingAcad. His career is not ruined, he is trying to silence survivors."

Dr. Luke getting nominated for Record of the Year and then the Grammys trying to hide it by crediting his pseudonym. Nice one @RecordingAcad pic.twitter.com/oVXs35RVbT
