Bhad Bhabie is being called out over the title of her new song 'Spaz'

The teenage rapper has released a song called 'Spaz'.
Bhad Bhabie just dropped two new singles 'Lotta Dem' and 'Spaz' featuring YBN Nahmir, after releasing her most successful single to date 'Bestie' in February. However, 'Spaz' has been called offensive online.

The word is an incredibly derogatory slur, especially in the UK, that has to been used to describe people with disabilities, particularly cerebral palsy. However, according to Urban Dictionary, it can also be used to describe someone who is hyperactive and overly energetic, or someone who is freaking out too.
The lyrics to Bhad Bhabie's track go: "Baby hop out and spaz // Whole clip on yo ass //Whole clip on yo ass //We goin hop out and spaz." Yeah, not great.
Although in the US the word isn't necessarily deemed offensive, understandably, some people blasted the us of the word.
hey, just a head's up for North Americans, prob others as well, but people here often say "spaz" or "spazzy" or "spastic" (about themselves, usually) and it's actually a really nasty slur in the UK and likely elsewhere against disabled people so I recommend just not saying it.

Someone used it on Drag Race the other week and I was so shocked! Looked online to see if everyone else was rightly horrified but it was literally just one other Brit not realising that it's not considered a slur in the US

Bhad Bhabie's music isn't without its controversies. Although she had a hit single with 'Bestie', the original featured Kodak Black, who has been called out for a number of incidents including making derogatory comments towards Nipsey Hussle's girlfriend Lauren London following his murder in March.
Bhabie replaced him with rapper Megan Thee Stallion for the remix following the backlash, although it's not known if she had always intended to do so.
