Bhad Bhabie said the constant criticism is starting to impact her mental health.
Bhad Bhabie is taking a break from social media after constantly being labelled as racist has caused her mental health to suffer. In December, the 'Bestie' rapper was accused of cultural appropriation after wearing box braids. In recent weeks, she has also been accused of blackfishing, which she has denied.
On Tuesday (14 Jan), Bhad Bhabie announced that she would be leaving Instagram. She wrote: "Due to my mental health I will be taking a small break from this app. I hate to say it but y’all won! Congrats mission complete. Y’all made the lil 16 year old completely loose it! Social media has not only made me who I am but also is every reason I can’t sleep at night.

"Imagine being called a racist white cunt very second of they day… I show off a tattoo they say I’m tryna b black… I defend myself then boom I’m labeled a racist [sic]."
She added: "There's no winning as a celebrity on this app. Everything I do will b considered wrong… image being me for a second you just get a cute new wig and wanna show it off then the minute you post your mood is instantly killed bc your comment section if flooded with 'this slut wants to be black so bad' while wearing a straight blonde wig… this shit is really draining [sic]."
Bhad Bhabie – born Danielle Bregoli – finished by telling her fans that when she does return to Instagram she will have her comments turned off. "When I do come back I will be turning all my comments off. Have a nice day," she continued.
The Bringing Up Bhabie star, who still has an active Twitter account, elaborated even further on her Instagram Story. She wrote: "Blows me how I watch people who can’t even tell me my favorite color try to tell me about myself and who I’m fuck and why I act how I do! When will y’all learn you don’t fuck know me so stop speaking on me like you do [sic]."
Bhad Bhabie has previously spoken about quitting fame and music, and moving back to her native state Florida, unable to cope with the pressures of Hollywood.
