Taylor Swift, Rita Ora and Lauren Jauregui all praised Bebe Rexha on Instagram for speaking out.
Bebe Rexha has opened up about experiencing ageism in the music industry and Taylor Swift has rushed to support her.
Ever since Bebe Rexha first rose to fame, she's been outspoken. This year alone, she's taken to Instagram call out a married footballer who wouldn't stop texting her and the fashion industry after designers refused to dress her for the Grammys because of her size (Bebe is a US size 8). Time and time again, Bebe puts problematic people in their place.

Now Bebe is putting sexist and ageist music executives on blast and stars including Taylor Swift are praising her.
How old is Bebe Rexha?
Taking to Instagram yesterday (Aug 12), Bebe share a photo of her in lingerie with the caption: "I recently had a MALE music executive tell me that I was getting too old and that my brand was “confusing.” Because... I’m a songwriter and I post sexy pics on my Instagram and that’s not what female songwriters are suppose to do, especially for my age. I’m 29."
Bebe then added: "I’m fed up with being put in a box. I make my own rules. I’m tired of women getting labeled as “hags” when they get old and guys get labeled as sexy with age. Anyways, I’m turning 30 on August 30 and you know what, I’m not running away from it. I’m not gonna lie about my age or sing songs that I feel will sell better because they sound “younger.”"
She ended the post saying: "I’m gonna celebrate my age because you know what, I’m wiser, I’m stronger and TRUST ME I’m a much better lover than I was 10 years ago."
Bebe's industry friends and peers immediately left comments in support of her. Rita Ora wrote: "You are beautiful, getting sexier with age and your talent SINGS for itself. Keep making those rules." Meanwhile, Lauren Jauregui wrote: "LET EM KNO MAMA."
Perhaps biggest of all, Taylor Swift commented: "DRAG THEM. 29 YEAR OLDS UNITE." Shocked, Bebe tweeted: "Taylor commented on my pic. I’m dead. Literally my heart stopped. Dead dead dead. She also wrote: "There’s no age that you can’t be be sexy."

It's gross to see the music industry police Bebe in this way and what's terrible is that older artists ranging from Beyoncé and Lady Gaga and Madonna to Mariah Carey receive even more vitriol for being sexy at their respective ages. Let women live.
