Adele's controversial outfit on Instagram has inspired some hilarious memes

Singer Adele has surprised fans with her new look, putting Bantu knots in her hair, as part of her celebration for what would have been Notting Hill Carnival this weekend.
Singer and belt-note-extraordinaire Adele is turning heads once again, this time with some new hair.
Over the weekend of what should have been London's Notting Hill Carnival, she posted a photo sporting a Jamaican bikini top and her hair in Bantu knots. It quickly sparked conversations about cultural appropriation vs appreciation, as well as some seriously funny memes about her choice.
Bantu knots are a traditional African hairstyle, and while the 32-year-old may have thought she was celebrating cultures different to her own, others have taken offence, as it's a hair style that black women are regularly penalised for.

But however you feel about her, there's always plenty of memes fresh off the back of any cursed image. When the 'Hello' singer initially dropped the shocking photo, she sparked a wave of hilarious, trending Tweets about the Jamaican and African communities accepting her as an honorary member, as well as how hard she's trying to fit in - and everyone is totally losing it.
Prepare to laugh seriously hard at some of these...
