Gal Gadot got celebrities including Jamie Dornan and Mark Ruffalo to cover 'Imagine' but people are not impressed.
Gal Gadot and a slew of celebrities are facing backlash after covering John Lennon's 'Imagine' during the coronavirus crisis.
Last night (Mar 19), Gal Gadot took to Instagram to post a video in which she, and different celebrities, take it in turns to sing 'Imagine' line by line. She wrote: "We are in this together, we will get through it together. Let’s imagine together. Sing with us. All love to you, from me and my dear friends". The edit features appearances by stars, such as Kristen Wiig, Jaime Dornan, Labrinth, James Marsden, Natalie Portman, Zoe Kravitz, Sia, Amy Adams and Mark Ruffalo filming themselves sing.

However, in spite of the good intentions the celebs no doubt used when making the video, people are dragging them for it.
Following the release of the video, people have taken to Twitter to call it out for everything from the celebrities' vocal abilities and song choice to the fact that there are more useful things they could do to help those affected by the illness. Writer Bolu Babalola joked: "no offense but aside from the actual virus, this is one of the worst things to result from the pandemic".

Meanwhile, journalist Richard Moynihan tweeted: "Bad things happen when celebrities can’t work. Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Sarah Silverman, Gal Gadot and more have rallied to sing John Lennon's Imagine". Sarah Manavis then added: "Celebrities brains are so poisoned that they actually think anyone still gives a shit what they're doing right now".

It's easy to sit there and mock all these celebs for trying to do a nice thing. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy, and correct, to mock them for this terrible thing they've done. https://t.co/7yCgnHwIGF

And I oop. Obviously there are much worse things celebs could be doing now than singing 'Imagine' but it's understandable why people aren't impressed.
