Radio Host Fired After Disgusting Sexual Comments About Teenage Olympic Champion

"You took an Olympic champion, someone whose family gave up a lot and sacrificed so she could be great, and turned her into a piece of meat."
If you've been paying attention to the Winter Olympics, or literally even just paying attention to Twitter recently, you'll know that U.S. Snowboarder Chloe Kim is a gold medal-winning Olympic hero - and a world class tweeter.
Chloe, who is just 17-years-old, absolutely dominated the Women's Halfpipe event in Pyeongchang. She snatched the gold medal in her event on February 13 with a score almost TEN points clear of the athlete in second place. In between her runs, she was casually tweeting about how hangry she was. An icon. Truly.
It's fair to say that her mind-blowing performance and sheer talent is what we should ALL be talking about and championing right now. I mean... she's incredible! Right?
Unfortunately, other people (a grown man) decided to focus on other things about Chloe's performance at the Winter Olympics (her appearance) and the comments that were made were disgusting.
So disgusting, in fact, that 43-year-old radio host Patrick Connor was actually fired from one of his talk shows after making the absolutely WILD sexual comments about the underage athlete - including calling her a "little hot piece of ass."
Speaking on Dialed-In with Dallas Braden, a new Sirius XM show from Barstool Radio, Connor "joked" that he was counting down the days until Chloe's 18th birthday.
"Her 18th birthday is April 23," Connor said on air, "and the countdown is on, baby, cause I got my Wooderson going — 'That's what I like about these high school girls.'"
"She's fine as hell!" Connor continued. "If she was 18, you wouldn't be ashamed to say that she's a little hot piece of ass. And she is. She is adorable, I'm a huge Chloe Kim fan."
After making the comments, Connor was fired from his morning show on KNBR, The Shower Hour with Patrick Connor. But still remains employed by Sirius XM.
He later sent Chloe an apology on Twitter but that wasn't very well received amongst his followers or her fans either.
Yesterday in a weird attempt to make people laugh I failed. My comments about @chloekimsnow were more than inappropriate they were lame & gross. Im truly sorry Chloe. You’ve repped our country so brilliantly. I apologize to my colleagues & the listeners for being a total idiot.

When you’re on the air you’re kinda flying & on to the next thing/topic so :30 after I said it I had forgotten... so to your point you might be right. I thought about it deeply last night & feel really stupid.

I guess I was more eager to be funny... big time failure. It wasn’t funny.

He also apologised via a statement from Barstool saying: "I want to apologize to Chloe Kim and her dad. They didn't deserve my stupid, foolish and immature comments."
Apology or not... he shouldn't have made the comments in the first place. A 43-year-old grown man calling a 17-year-old high school student a "little hot piece of ass" isn't a joke. There's no punchline. It's literally just a really really really inappropriate, disgusting and predatory thing to say - to a woman of any age, let alone a minor. "The countdown is on..."?! WTF?
In the replies to his tweet, he also continually points about that he'd already forgotten what he said once the topic was over - which is a problem. Would he have apologised and backtracked on the comments if no one had called him out? Probably not...
