Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow has split from her husband, Selling The OC cast member Tyler Stanaland.
Brittany has been married to Tyler, who recently appeared in Netflix's Selling Sunset spin-off, for two years. The pair met in 2018 and married in 2020.
Confirming their split on social media, Brittany wrote: “After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate.
“This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives."
“We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.”
Brittany’s co-star Anna Kendrick was among those sharing support, writing: “Love you so much.” Rebel Wilson wrote, “Love you Brit”, while Kate Bosworth added: “Love you, I’m so here for you”.
PEOPLE reported that their split was allegedly down to Tyler’s role on Selling The OC, with a source reportedly saying: “They’re fully over. All of the girls [on the show] are obsessed with him. He’s been trying to be really respectful but it’s taken a toll on his marriage 100 percent.” (TMZ, however, report that the drama had nothing to do with their breakup.)
The split comes after Tyler spoke out about his co-star, Kayla, who tried to kiss him in the brand new season of the Netflix reality series.
Speaking on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, he discussed the moment when his Oppenheim Group colleague Kayla Cardona tried to kiss him — twice.
"One night, Kayla did try and kiss me. And then it happened another night as well. And so on the show, out of respect for her, I am just kind of trying to minimise it and brush past it so that there isn't drama. We can all focus on what we should be doing," he said.
During the podcast, Tyler also confirmed that the attempted kisses didn’t happen when they were filming. He also confirmed that he will not be discussing his personal life during the reality real estate show.
“I don't know about the future," he said. "But in this specific season, you won't see my house, you won't see my wife. As this journey started, I kind of wanted to keep certain parts of my life private. And as time goes on, maybe that'll be different. But for right now, that was kind of the one thing that made me feel safe embarking on such a strange journey."
