It’s about time they finally brought this to the game…
You might have caught yourself a Pikachu…

But if you haven’t been so lucky, don’t worry – this new update could be what you need!
The developers behind the game, Niantic Labs, have announced that they will be giving players the ability to trade Pokémon with each other.
So if you’ve got a friend who’s particularly good at finding those really rare Pokémon, they’ll be able to share their captures with you.
Some of the Pokémon are locked to certain regions at the moment – Mr Mime is only available in Europe, so trading could help you get ones you might not have previously been able to.
The developers are also holding back the release of Ditto, legendary birds Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos as well as the much sought after Mewtwo, despite various posts of people claiming to have caught them.

When asked about a date for this new update to the game, the CEO of Niantic said "I’m sorry, I don’t have a date for you. It’s at the top of our priority list."
Although the fact that they’ve made the announcement means it should be pretty soon.
So when the ability to trade Pokémon becomes a reality, would you trade your prized Snorlax with your BFF or keep it all for yourself?
