Think Pink & Party To Raise Awareness Of The Breast Cancer Unit At The New Royal

R Charity Pink Party

R Charity needs your help! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so they want you to get in the pink by hosting a Pink Party at home, at work, at school, college or uni, or somewhere else in your community…

With loads of us now being touched in some way by Breast Cancer, R Charity want to raise awareness of the disease and raise £750,000 to invest into lifesaving imaging equipment for its Breast Cancer Unit within the New Royal.

So, get in the pink this autumn and party hard - We know you love a party! This amazing equipment will go on to improve and save the lives of thousands of breast cancer patients within Merseyside and the North West.

Get your mates together and bling up your bra, celebrate with R Cocktails, or wear pink and host your own 'R Charity Pink Party'. To help get you started - whatever spare change you have, whether it's saved for that after work pint or portion of chips to end a night out - pop it into your Pink Party fund instead and get fundraising.

If you’re unable to host a Pink Party, ask someone who you think is, or Text PINK46 £10 to 70070 to make a £10 donation to our Breast Unit Appeal

Find out more here about local comediane Pauline Daniels. She's a breast cancer survivor who’s excited to join in with and support R Charity’s Pink Party campaign and journey towards to raising £750,000.

After being diagnosed in 2013 she's backing the Royal’s Pink Party campaign, to send a message to women (and men) highlighting the importance of checking your breasts and knowing the things to look out for.

Around 48,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, meaning the new services at the new Royal Liverpool Hospital Breast Unit are more important than ever - so whatever cash you can raise will make a real difference.

Your support will help to buy three new Mammography machines with state of the art 3D technology and two Mammography chairs. This will enable us to diagnose breast cancers earlier, and help us to avoid unnecessary interventions. With earlier, better information, they can reassure patients, save lives and improve the quality of life for thousands of people for years to come.

Your support will make a difference.
