You could buy 135 Primark t-shirts for the price of one Prada tee.

Louis Vuitton have just unveiled their insanely pricey AirPods and no, luxury designers haven't got bored of creating items we could clearly never afford. Now the spotlight is on Prada, who are selling a plain, white t-shirt and it's ridiculously expensive.

The Italian fashion house's logo piqué t-shirt is part of their new season collection. The all-white tee has a barely visible logo on the chest but apart from that it's basically just a simple, white top.

And the price? Far Fetch has it listed on their website for £270. Does the t-shirt possess any magically qualities? Can it cook, clean or drive when we're feeling lazy? Is it spun from pure gold? Well, no. It's just made from cotton.

"Founded in 1913 by Mario Prada, the brand is known for producing timeless items with traditional Milanese craftsmanship," the description reads. "This white logo piqué T-shirt is crafted from cotton and features a round neck, short sleeves, a relaxed fit, a straight hem, a slim fit and a logo chest patch."

You can buy a plain t-shirt from Primark for as little as £2, or if you really fancy splashing the cash, Uniqlo sell one for £9.90.

The outrageous price point attracted some major attention when it was originally posted on Facebook, and people on Twitter had something to say about the item too.

We certainly can't wait to not buy this.
