This is just mansplaining at it's finest.
A man has gone viral after he decided to tell women to stop complaining about how expensive sanitary products are – and the responses are hilariously brutal. Somehow, he managed to calculate that women should be wearing only seven tampons per cycle and they should "stop whining" about the cost of sanitary products.
In case you're not up to speed, mansplaining is when something is explained by a man, usually to a woman, in a condescending or patronising tone.
The Facebook post, which was shared on Twitter, read: "So, the average period is between 10-35ml of blood, each tampon holds about 5ml, so 7 tampons per cycle. Lets be generous and say 10 for those ladies with an extra juicy uterine lining. 9 periods per year = 90 tampons max.

"You can get a 64 pack on amazon for £7.90 plus shipping. Buy two packs, save on shipping and have 128 tampon for the year, thats about £20 here or their a years periods.
"Cut down on the Starbucks venti frappes and stop whining. This isn't a first world problem."
Sorry, what!? Um, seven tampons per cycle?! Nine periods a year!! And "extra juicy uterine lining"? Okay, sir…
Let's just debunk some of the ridiculous statements he made real quick. According to the NHS, the average period is around 40ml and a "normal" cycle ranges from 21 days to 40 days. Your period can last between 3 to 8 days, but it's usually about 5, so you'll probably need more than the seven tampons advised.
I Dno what’s worse, the fact he thinks u only need 7 tampons per cycle or the fact he thinks there’s only 9 months in a year https://t.co/x4YLLZEbsC

Coffee or tampons? That's the choice? Ok, I choose coffee. He'd better hope he doesn't sit in my seat when I get off the bus 💅

I am so confused by all of this. 7 tampons per cycle? 9 periods a year? Juicy uterine lining? Has this man ever even met a woman?

The average number is 35ml-45ml. So literally the only thing he got right was how many days are in a week.

More likely the fact that he decided to MANSPLAIN a period and what women's needs are... because we are all the same.

I switched to a Diva cup and I bleed 35mL per DAY on my cycle.

Riddle me that, cuttlecock.
7 a cycle? What kinda shit? I go through an 18 pack in almost 3 days of my 8 day long period. He's cancelled

No one even gonna mention how every girls period is different?? Some girls are only on for like 3 days and others on for like a week and when I got the implant in my arm I was on for five months until they finally took it out🙃🙃🙃

I think it's fair to say if you're not clued on up the inner workings of a uterus you should probably sit this one out. When will men learn?
