Trisha Paytas tears up while discussing being transgender and always wanting a penis

Trisha Paytas discussed being transgender and identifying as male in a new interview.
In October, Trisha Paytas apologised after posting a video claiming to be a transgender male. The video, titled "I AM TRANSGENDER (FEMALE TO MALE)", received a lot of criticism from the LGBTQ+ community, with some accusing her of exploiting the transgender community for clicks and publicity. However, Trisha has now clarified her initial comments and opened up about her gender identity further.
During an interview with psychotherapist Dr Mike Dow on Wednesday's episode (23 October) of The Doctors, Trisha said that she doesn’t believe in "labels" when it comes to gender.

"For me, saying I’m transgender was just a thing to say because it’s what people want to label me as – a female, who's a male," Trisha began. "I was born female, but even from a young age I had a hormonal imbalance where I knew I wasn't female."
Trisha was then asked if she had considered physically transitioning into a male, but the Celebrity Big Brother UK star said she hasn't because of her career, which includes creating adult content and being nude. However, she did say that she has "always been very uncomfortable in the female body" and she would like male body parts.
"I’ve always wanted a penis," she explained. "I always have because it just makes dating easier. I’ve dated gay men and this is what offended people in my video is when I date gay men, a lot of gay men think I’m not man enough because I don’t have a penis."
She added: "I still do adult work – not porn, but I do nudity and stuff like that because it's what makes the money. It's what my job is, so I don't consider transitioning because my job is this."
Dr Dow came to the conclusion that Trisha did not "fit under the normal idea of what a transgender person is" but she is, in fact, transgender.

"I actually believe you are a transgender person," Mike told her. "The fact that your assigned sex at birth was female, but in your brain, you feel male, that, to me, meets the classification for a transgender person. It's not so much if you ever have a surgery. It's about the way you feel."
Trisha – who has previously stated that she prefers she/her pronouns – started welling up following Mike’s comments, noting that she had faced a lot of backlash after announcing her "real gender" on YouTube, which affected her mental health.
"I wasn't going to cry," she said, before grabbing a tissue. "You're just the first person out of LGBTQ that I don't know on a personal level, that's accepted me. It means a lot because so many people think I'm faking this and it's just so hard."
Trisha continued: "I'm comfortable in who I am and I know who I am, and I like dating all types and as far as my gender, I do identify as a male. And if there are people who are uncomfortable with that, I'm not sure what to say to that other than this is how I've always felt since a very young age."
