Nurse Holly has now apologised for the TikTok video and said she was just trying to "promote positivity and healthy lifestyles".
A nurse named Nurse Holly is going viral on TikTok for all the wrong reasons. In a now-deleted TikTok video, Nurse Holly claimed the best way to prevent contracting an STI is to abstain from sex until marriage and the internet is seriously pissed.

In the video, Nurse Holly – who has 1.7million followers on TikTok – is standing in her uniform as words fly around her. It reads: "Did you know the best way to prevent STDs is waiting for sex until marriage. Just the truth."
The video was shared on Twitter and it quickly sparked a discussion around sex shaming and problematic health professionals. Believe it or not, marriage doesn't actually protect you from STIs. It's still very, very possible to catch an STI even if you wait until you're married to have sex.
all tik tok has shown me is that if i have a wh*t* woman as my doctor or nurse my most intimate medical details are going to end up as block text in a video that features her doing the macarena to a doja cat song

Idk who needs to hear this but marriage doesn’t prevent STDs since that’s not how infections work. Maybe “Nurse Holly” should do less condescending TikToks & more infxn transmission education. And anyone who wants to impose their morals on patients should get out of healthcare. https://t.co/Mf9snhrpMQ

Tik Tok’s biggest effect on me personally has been making me terrified of every single nurse I see. https://t.co/GY458dEk8Q

Imagine. You go to the doctor for normal preventative care. Nurse Holly walks in with the wrong color foundation and says you should wait til marriage. When you’re gone she tries to go viral on tiktok about it. A month later the hospital send you a bill for $450. This is America. https://t.co/4QZ69vbifx

Nurse Holly also seems to forget that not everyone has the choice of waiting until marriage.

Sexual assault and abuse happens.
It is never, ever-not under any circumstance, on any planet, in any solar system, in any universe, in any dimension-ever, the victim’s fault.

Nurse Holly (who is a practicing Christian according to her TikToks) has now deleted the video from TikTok and, according to BuzzFeed News, she has apologised for "for any offence that was taken".
"In the comments, I acknowledged that of course using protection will help prevent STDs if one is sexually active. I just wanted to present another option to my young audience," she explained.
"I understand that my voice will not be accepted by many as it’s an unpopular view. This video was simply created with the intention of helping little girls see that saving sex for one partner may have certain benefits."
