A teenager on TikTok has gone viral for claiming she's the granddaughter of the serial killer.

Ted Bundy committed at least thirty confirmed murders of women and girls during the 1970s and his crimes have come back into the public eye over the past few months thanks to him being the feature of the Zac Efron-starring film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile as well as a Netflix documentary series Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.
Now a teenager on TikTok has gained fame she wasn’t quite expecting for making a video in which she claims she’s the granddaughter of the serial killer.

In a video that she’s since deleted, Ally Bragg alleges she's related to the murderer in a series of clips where she refers to her grandfather as a ‘famous relative check’ and then shows a series of photos that apparently feature her, Ted Bundy, his ex-wife Carole Ann Boone and their daughter Rose.
It would be quite a thing for Ted Bundy’s granddaughter to turn up and blow the family’s cover, considering that they’ve been off the radar and their whereabouts unknown for decades now.
So, it didn’t come as too much of a surprise when Ally backtracked and admitted the whole thing had been a scam.
“The whole Ted Bundy video was a joke. I didn’t expect it to blow up at all....It would be nice if everybody would just stop with it because Ted Bundy’s not my grandfather, so thanks,” she said in one video.
In an Instagram post addressing the incident further, she wrote: “PLEASE READ !! Okay so I wanted to post this to make everything clear, no I am not Ted Bundy's granddaughter. The whole TikTok was a joke and I really didn’t expect it to blow up because I never get more than 12 likes on any of my post.”
She then, as though we weren’t quite sure yet, broke down all the reasons she couldn’t actually be Ted Bundy’s granddaughter, writing: “My grandma is still alive and what I've Hurd [sic] online and what people have told me Carolie (or how ever u spell her name ) is dead and she lived in the UK my grandma lives in United States.”
She added: “If I was actually Ted Bundy's granddaughter I wouldn’t of posted that at all !! But I’m please asking y’all to delete any post about me or my family, I know that’s a lot to ask for but please for me and my family’s sake. But I do apologize because I know it is also my fault and I should have not posted it in the first place . Don’t worry y’all don’t have to shame me. Half of it has already ruined me.”
“And I do see the wrong in posting the video even as a joke. Ted Bundy was a bad man and I should have never even tried to make that video but at the time I was not thinking about it I’m at way so I am sorry if it did offend anyone . - thank y’all.”
