Shane Dawson explained that mean comments from trolls have put him off uploading videos on YouTube.
Shane Dawson has said that he's been less active on YouTube lately because people have been commenting on his weight.
Yesterday (19 Feb), Shane Dawson uploaded a brand new video to his ShaneGlossin YouTube channel titled 'Confronting My Strange Addiction'. The video immediately received praise from fans for giving them another exclusive glimpse into Shane's personal life and his relationship with his fiancé Ryland Adams. The video has already been viewed over four million times.

However, some people took to the comments under the video to criticise Shane's weight and now he's called them out.
Taking to Twitter last night, Shane explained that mean comments have stopped him from posting as much on YouTube and social media. He tweeted: "Hey Shane why don’t u post more? Why don’t u upload more? Well... this. you would think after 13 years on youtube comments wouldn’t get to me but damn... they still feel like the very first time haha [sic]."
Alongside the tweet, Shane included a screenshot of one of the comments on his 'My Strange Addiction' video. It reads: "I love Shane but it's a damn shame to watch him putting all this weight back on while everyone around him laughs and enables it." It should go without saying that commenting on other people's weight is wrong.

Following Shane's tweet, fans immediately began to send him support and defend him. One person tweeted: "Please don't let those comments get to you. You're truly beautiful, inside and out." Another person added: "I will never understand why people care about how much someone else weighs as if it has any impact on their life???"
Shane replied to them by tweeting: "Thanks for the nice tweets. I appreciate it a lot. Sorry I got sensitive and posted that. I usually just ignore stuff but I’m just in a weird headspace lately." He also wrote: "I think I’m gonna take a break from the internet for a bit. Thanks for being supportive and having my back."
