Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star's new documentary series is finally here

The first episode of 'The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star' has arrived.

Shane Dawson has dropped the first video from his new documentary series, The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star.

As previously reported, Shane officially announced the series, after months of teasing, on Sept 25th with a 4-minute trailer. According to Shane, the series will consist of nine episodes.

Filming for the documentary began in January this year and it's set to cover a ton of huge events that happened in Shane's life, Jeffree's life, and the YouTube beauty community. It will also preview their forthcoming makeup collection collaboration.

Previously, Shane said that he planned to release the series "as 2 seasons kind of like a tv show and doing one season in the summer and one in the fall." Seeing as summer is now over, it's unclear if Shane is still sticking to a similar schedule.

In April, Shane tweeted that he already had 43 hours of footage and that they were "only half way done filming".

A couple of days ago (Sept 29) Shane teased the first video, sharing a screen shot of the video's asset and length, just over 1 hour. He then followed that up with another tweet yesterday (Sept 30) suggesting he hadn't finalised the upload time but assured fans it would happen, as promised, on October 1st.

Jeffree Star also commented that he was feeling "excited and anxious" about the series.
