Shane Dawson breaks down over James Charles drama in Jeffree Star documentary trailer
25 September 2019, 11:58
The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star will address the #ShaneDawsonIsOverParty scandal, James Charles and Tati Westbrook and will reveal Shane's 'pig' makeup collab.
It's here! Officially! After a long wait, Shane Dawson has finally dropped the trailer for his new documentary series focusing on Jeffree Star, the beauty community and his journey to creating his own makeup collection.
The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star will be released on YouTube on Tuesday October 1st and will, according to Shane, consist of nine episodes. Whew!
The trailer is just over four minutes long (generous king) but doesn't feature any dialogue from the events that Shane has captured. The whole thing is set to the tune of Catie Turner's ballad 'Prom Queen' which provides an emotional vibe to the doc.

Shane's documentary took around 7 months to make and covers a ton of huge events that happened in his life, Jeffree's life and the YouTube beauty community. From the James Charles/Tati Westbrook drama to THAT cat scandal, here's everything that features in the documentary:
The Tati Westbrook/James Charles drama
In the trailer, you can see a tearful Shane and Ryland reacting to Tati's first earth-shattering video. You can then see Shane watching James' subscriber count go down as well as Shane reacting to a video titled 'James Charles DISSES Shane Dawson'.
Jeffree was heavily involved in the drama too, appearing to side with Tati and publicly calling out James on Twitter. He later released an apology video to James.
Shane's proposal to Ryland
In the middle of filming, Shane proposed to his boyfriend Ryland. While Ryland has already dropped a video about their parking lot engagement, Shane's doc is likely to feature some footage to the build up of the cute moment.
Shane was also hit with a ton of accusations that he proposed to distract from the Cat drama.
Shane's cat scandal
It also looks like Shane will address the whole Cat drama that erupted back in March following a joke about bestiality from his podcast that resurfaced. In the the trailer, you can see Shane looking at the hashtag '#ShaneDawsonIsOverParty,' which started trending shortly after the story went viral.
A first look at the products from Shane's makeup collab
While people think Shane has already leaked a few colours from his eyeshadow palette, the trailer gave us the first real look at the first product from Shane's collection... a pink pig hand-held mirror.
Fans also think they've worked out the name of Shane's eyeshadow palette. A collection (including eyeshadow, lipstick and face powder) named 'Conspiracy' was trademarked by Jeffree Star Cosmetics recently.
The doc will also speak about beauty industry conspiracy theories
We also know that series will include footage of Jeffree and Shane speaking about conspiracies in the beauty industry, thanks to a sneak peak at the documentary that was featured in Jeffree's Kylie Skin review.
I can’t believe something we’ve been working on all year and put all of our hearts in is finally starting to come out tomorrow. i’ve never felt this excited, nervous, and emotionally invested in my life. thank you guys for letting us take the time to do this. it means so much :,) pic.twitter.com/wAQw7eqWZQ

Previously, Shane said that he planned to release the series "as 2 seasons kind of like a tv show and doing one season in the summer and one in the fall." Seeing as summer is now over, it's unclear if Shane is still sticking to a similar schedule.
In April, Shane tweeted that he already had 43 hours of footage and that they were "only half way done filming".
To be honest, it doesn't matter how Shane decides to release the documentary. All we know is, we're about to get FED with quality content. Everyone say, "thank you Shane!"
