Shane Dawson cat memes are breaking the internet and it's all for the most unbelievable reason.

If you've been anywhere near social media over the past few days, you will have probably noticed that 30-year-old YouTuber Shane Dawson has just found himself at the centre of a controversy. A snippet from an old Shane and Friends podcast from 2015, in which Shane claims to have sexually abused his cat, went viral and he was forced to deny claims that he ever had sex with his cat. Shane had to apologise and explain that it was a bad joke.

Just another day on Satan's internet. Naturally, the incident has inspired many iconic memes.

For context, Shane's joke was: "One time I laid my cat down on her back and I moved her little chicken legs spread open... and I was like if I just hump on her tummy that's not weird. And then I humped and I humped and I humped and I kept going and I kept going and I came all over the cat. I was like my first sexual experience and I was 19." Shane's apology then opened with the now immortal phrase: "i didnt fuck my cat. i didnt cum on my cat. i didnt put my dick anywhere near my cat. Ive never done anything weird with my cats." He then went on to explain that he has grown from the incident and admitted that it was "DISGUSTING and VERY DUMB". Multiple famous YouTubers also came to his defence.

It seems clear that Shane never sexually abused his cat. Still the internet couldn't get over it and the memes are wild. Here are just a few of them.
