Because it never quite goes down like it does in our favourite rom-coms.
Relationships are very, very hard, but relationships in 2019? Whew, just give up now. It's over. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have now infiltrated dating and it's making people bolder than ever.

Arguments over the phone are old news, it's all over WhatsApp now, and they can often end with you getting blocked, or worse… your message stays on "read" with no reply. Yep, we all know the frustrating feeling of sending a risky 2,000 word essay and getting absolutely nothing back but some blue ticks staring back at us.
Well, enter sex and relationship blogger Dami Olonisakin, who asked her female Twitter followers to reveal heartfelt messages they'd sent to men and got absolutely nothing back.

Was talking to this guy for 4 months, during that time he told me not to talk to anyone else. While I was doing a night shift, he messaged me to let me know that he’s now got a girlfriend and it’s getting serious. Wrote on notes, sent on snap pic.twitter.com/3QNXvu5M7Y

Although rehashing all your feelings and getting a one-word response is exhausting, Oloni insists it's perfectly "healthy" to get things off your chest.
"Opening up about how you feel to someone you’ve been romantic/sexual with is normal," she told Metro.co.uk. "We grow and learn over time who to display those feelings to. So yeah it’s cringey, but sometimes it can be necessary."
Vent away ladies!
