Relationships are very, very hard, but relationships in 2019? Whew, just give up now. It's over. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have now infiltrated dating and it's making people bolder than ever.

Arguments over the phone are old news, it's all over WhatsApp now, and they can often end with you getting blocked, or worse… your message stays on "read" with no reply. Yep, we all know the frustrating feeling of sending a risky 2,000 word essay and getting absolutely nothing back but some blue ticks staring back at us.

Well, enter sex and relationship blogger Dami Olonisakin, who asked her female Twitter followers to reveal heartfelt messages they'd sent to men and got absolutely nothing back.

Naturally, she was inundated with examples. And the results? Whew, they're SO savage.

The emotion just jumped out of some of them.

Meanwhile, other responses were just cold – c'mon just an "ok"?!?!?!

Although rehashing all your feelings and getting a one-word response is exhausting, Oloni insists it's perfectly "healthy" to get things off your chest.

"Opening up about how you feel to someone you’ve been romantic/sexual with is normal," she told Metro.co.uk. "We grow and learn over time who to display those feelings to. So yeah it’s cringey, but sometimes it can be necessary."
