PewDiePie says Tana Mongeau "didn't deserve" to win Streamy Award

It's safe to say PewDiePie does not rate "insufferable" Tana Mongeau.
PewDiePie recently announced he was taking a well-deserved break from YouTube after growing "very tired" with it all. But before he begins his 2020 hiatus, PewDiePie left his fans with a parting gift – an absolute roasting of fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau.
In a YouTube video posted on 17 December, PewDiePie reacted to the news that Tana won Creator of the Year at the 2019 Streamy Awards (13 Dec), beating David Dobrik, Emma Chamberlain and Lily Singh. He even said that she didn't deserve the title… ouch.

"It’s so cringe to rip on Tana, like yeah she’s insufferable but I don’t want to make a whole deal out of it," he began. "When Tana said, 'I don’t deserve this' we all felt that."
PewDiePie also mocked the way Tana accepted her award. As she was declared the winner in the Creator of the Year category, Tana was visibly shocked by it all. In a sarcastic way, he then added: "She’s so humble, she doesn’t feel like creator of the year, she’s so down to earth, she’s just like us, no – you literally don’t deserve it, that’s why you feel like that."
PewDiePie insisted that he wasn't ranting about Tana because he was "mad", but because he knows how the awards system works. "I’m not actually mad about this because everyone knows awards shows are just fake anyway," he explained. "It’s all politics, it’s based on who was there, they want to show that they’re giving away awards to people instead of just having people show up in videos or not accepting the award at all."
PewDiePie finished by saying that his friend MrBeast, who was also nominated in the category, was a more worthy winner.

He continued: "I think it could be cool to actually have it as a way to actually celebrate the people that did something amazing this year, just like Rewind could be something like that."
