The original Moto Razr sold 130 million units after it first arrived on the market in 2004. Now, it's back with a sleek new design and an eye-watering price tag.
2019 is nearly over and there's no doubt in our minds that we have reached peak nostalgia capitalism. All the broken up bands are back together, your 00s TV favourites are being rebooted and revived, and Motorola wants you to pay $1,500 for their resurrected Razr flip phone.

Yes, you read that right. This week, Motorola announced that they are bringing back their iconic 00s phone, the Razr, but with a few updates. Notably, instead of its classic tiny screen and keyboard, the revamped Razr has a foldable 6.2 inch OLED touchscreen display that folds out to reveal a body not dissimilar to many 2019 smartphones currently on the market.
When folded, the new Razr boasts a 2.7 inch display for notifications.
Razr is here!
Anyone who grew up in the 2000s will instantly recognise the classic Razr.
If you had the starter Nokia brick phone, you also probably had a major case of FOMO and jealousy directed toward your friends who were lucky enough to own a Motorola Razr, aka the "it" phone of the 2000s. The phone first launched in 2004 and sold 130 million units thereafter.
The new Razr hits shelves in January 2020 but will be available for pre-order on December 26. Meanwhile, its eye-watering $1,500 price tag will undoubtedly take a sizeable bite out of your tech budget if you're considering rejoining team Razr.
The internet is reacting to the return of the Razr and everyone is just excited to dramatically hang up like in the old days.
