If you've been on TikTok recently, you've probably heard the infectious sound of Millie B's 'Soph Aspin Send', which you might simply know for the line, "It's M to the B." The tune has exploded on TikTok after Bella Poarch used it in a lip-syncing video, which received over 10.5 million likes in just six days.

Although the tune is firmly engrained in British culture, now there's thousands of recreation videos, with many TikTok users from around the world jamming to the intoxicating sound of the British rapper. But where does the song come from?

What is the M to the B song on TikTok?

It was December 2016, a simpler time. Some were getting ready to receive Christmas presents but little did the internet know, it was about to receive a priceless gift – Millie B. The Blackpool-based grime artist released a series of diss tracks aimed at her arch rival Sophie Aspin. Yep, if you thought Tupac and Biggie had beef then just wait.

The aspiring rappers regularly threw shots – or "sent for" – at each other through the BG Media YouTube page, which posted clips from up-and-coming grime artists from around the Blackpool area.

That's when the viral diss track was born. In case you're wondering, Sophie recorded a diss track reply (at the local supermarket) but sadly it didn't go quite as viral as Millie B's.

Who is Sophie Aspin?

Sophie Aspin is a former grime rapper from Manchester, UK, who moved to Blackpool as a teenager. She's the girl spoken about in the infamous "M to the B" or 'Sophie Aspin Send' song which has been blowing up on TikTok lately.

She's even responded to the infamous track on TikTok. She said: "Can someone please tell all these Americans what's going on? They're doing all this, 'M to the B, M to the B' and they're following a B, it's not fucking about a B. It's about me!"

Does Millie B have a child?

We know, you're dying to know what ever happened to Millie B and Sophie Aspin – where are they now? Are they still beefing? Did they ever top the charts? Well, no. Sophie Aspin, now 18, decided to take a step back from grime and progress onto a different genre. She has her own YouTube channel and featured in a short documentary on Channel 4 about leaving grime behind last year.

Sadly, Millie appears to have quit music altogether. Her Instagram page is private, but according to her Facebook, she welcomed a baby girl named Gracie-Lee in September 2018 and she sells Avon products.
