Jeffree Star surprises fan with $30,000 amid coronavirus crisis

Aurora will be using the $30,000 to pay off her debts and open bank accounts for her children.

On Sunday (Mar 22), Jeffree Star announced he would be giving one lucky Twitter user $30,000, after sending fans thousands of dollars through Cash App to support them during the coronavirus pandemic.

For the giveaway, Jeffree partnered with Twitter philanthropist Bill Pulte, a 25-year-old billionaire whose grandfather founded the Pulte Group, one of the largest real estate and home construction companies in the US.

Jeffree tweeted: "I'm going to give away $30,000 to 1 random person who retweets this tweet AND follows Twitter Philanthropist @Pulte and Me!! (If you don’t follow us, we can’t DM you the money) Will show proof! Much love."

Well, the lucky winner has now been revealed and it was so emotional. "The $30,000 went to this lucky lady! The money is already in her bank account! Watch us surprise her! We are going to keep helping people! Love you guys," Jeffree tweeted. Bill messaged the winner, named Aurora, that she had won $100 but Jeffree called to break the news that it was actually $30,000, and she immediately broke down.

"Do you have any idea how much I adore you?" she said through her tears in a video call posted to Twitter. She also revealed that she would be using the $30,000 to pay off her debts. She added: "I won't be in debt anymore. I won't have to struggle paying for bills. I can put some money aside for both of my kids in a bank account…"

In the spirit of giving back, that's not all Jeffree is doing for his fans. On Wednesday (Mar 26), Jeffree revealed he would be restocking the entire Blood Lust collection as well as some old favourites on Friday 27 March at 12pm PST.

He said: "I know it's crazy times right now so if you don't want to shop right now skip this message, but a lot of you have been wondering, 'Jeffree! Where is Blood Lust? Where is Extreme Frost? And where is the entire collection?' So this Friday we are doing a major restock on our site.

"We're also bringing back a bunch of Velour Liquid lips that have been gone and sold out for months. Um, production has been rolling and we got them all in before things were shut down. So a lot of liquid lips are returning and the entire Blood Lust collection. 12PM PST, that's 1PM EST."
