Jeffree Star's ex-boyfriend Nathan Schwandt returns to Instagram

Jeffree previously stated that Nathan deleted Instagram to "detach" from the social world.
Nathan Schwandt has returned to Instagram following the breakdown of his relationship with YouTuber Jeffree Star. The couple parted ways in January after five years together, shortly after purchasing a $14.6 million Hidden Hills mansion. "This isn’t an internet fight. This isn’t drama, this isn’t tea, this is my real life and me and my soulmate are really going through it," Jeffree explained in an emotional YouTube video about the split.

Soon after Jeffree Star and Nathan Schwandt's break up, rumours started to circulate that Nathan was seeing someone else and that he had deleted social media because of the split, which Jeffree quickly shut down. Nathan actually deleted all social media last year to "detach" from the social world.
Speaking to Trisha Paytas on her The Dish with Trish podcast in December 2019, Jeffree went into further detail. He said: "He really just wants to detach and not be that. The problem is people are getting too aggressive, every DM is like 'Fuck me, suck me, oh my God…' blah blah blah. Like, he can't even enjoy it. Every comment is just so sexual and it's crazy, right?
"On top of that we would message a few people for fun and they would immediately screenshot and turn it into a news story, we're so over all that energy and Nate's like, 'I don't wanna be online anymore.'"
He added: "He didn't care, he said: 'Instagram, bye! Snapchat, bye!' He just didn't care."
Nathan appears to be ready to tackle the social world again, though, opening up a brand new Instagram account. Nathan's new Instagram handle is "@jusskate" and his page seems to be dedicated to his love of skateboarding. Although Nathan's new account (which hasn't been verified yet) only has 11 posts, with the first actually being from 5 January, he already has 78,200 followers.

Nathan and Jeffree aren't following each other just yet, but there isn't any bad blood between them. In Jeffree's break up YouTube video, he said that he and Nathan are "soulmates" and would be "friends forever".
