Jack Wright faces backlash over Jeffrey Dahmer TikTok

Jack Wright has now deleted the controversial TikTok video.

TikTok star Jack Wright has been slammed after impersonating Jeffrey Dahmer and dressing up as the serial killer in a video.

Ever since Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story debuted on Netflix last month (Sep 21), a series of disturbing trends have emerged on TikTok. From people "feeling sorry" for the mass murderer to some even "thirsting" after him, many of the Dahmer videos on TikTok have sparked backlash. There's even been a Jeffrey Dahmer polaroid challenge on the platform.

Now, TikToker Jack Wright is coming under fire over a video in which he recreates a scene from Netflix's Dahmer miniseries.

Taking to TikTok yesterday (Oct 16), Jack Wright posted a video with the caption: "pov psycopaths drinking milk by itself". In the video, Jack styles his hair and clothing to look exactly like Evan Peters in a Dahmer scene where Jefrrey Dahmer drinks milk by itself. He then proceeds to act out the scene by drinking milk directly from the bottle and dancing by himself.

The video immediately received thousands of negative comments. One person wrote: "so many jokes about jeffrey dahmer everywhere like it's fiction is making me v uncomfy". Another person wrote: "idk why people are making a joke out of the Jeffrey and the killings. Idk it just doesn't sit right with me."

People also took to Twitter to criticise Jack. Someone tweeted: "this generation dont know how to consume media like a normal person cause why is ur first thought after watching a movie about A REAL serial killer to go on tiktok and make jokes??".

As it stands, Jack is yet to respond to the backlash but he has deleted the video. We shall let you know if he apologises.
