Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian cosmetic filler package ads have been banned from Instagram

This comes after Instagram pledged they would remove promotions for cosmetic surgery and diet products for under 18s.
Many of us are guilty of wanting to look like our favourite celebrity, whether that means buying similar clothing or trying out their hairstyle. But some are willing to go a little bit further than just changing their clothes, and cosmetic surgery companies are capitalising on that through social media.

However, that's about to get a little harder for them. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned three Instagram ads for claiming their procedures could make customers look like Kylie Jenner, Huff Post UK reports.
AKJ Aesthetics and Queen of Aesthetics used Kylie's images on the platform to promote filler packages, sold as the "Kylie Jenner package". The packages included injecting filler (a procedure Kylie has admitted to having herself) in the cheeks, lips and jawline to give a more chiseled appearance.
Both companies used Kylie's image to market their filler packages to their targeted audience, which appears to be young women. AKJ Aesthetics also ran a competition to win a "Kylie Jenner package", which the ASA ruled was irresponsible.
"We considered that consumers would therefore understand from the ads that they could achieve similar results to those of Kylie Jenner and that the photos accurately represented what could generally be achieved through use of the advertised cosmetic procedures," the advertising watchdog said.
"Therefore we expected to see that the person in the ad, Kylie Jenner, had used those products and the ad was a realistic depiction of what the products could achieve."
The ads have now been banned from Instagram and AKJ Aesthetics and Queen of Aesthetics aren't allowed to use the image of a celeb if they had not used their products.

The ASA also banned a third Instagram post from Beauty Boutique Aesthetics, which featured Kylie's older Kim Kardashian. The aesthetics company used Kim's image to promote Botox, which is against the UK advertising code that prohibits marketing prescription-only medicines.
This comes as Instagram has started to take more responsibility on the affects social media can have on mental health, especially when it comes to young people. Instagram recently announced plans to remove promotions for cosmetic surgery and other diet products for under 18s.
