Sip with caution.
A new wave of "here's the mf tea" memes are sweeping the internet and, of course, it's all TikTok's doing. The video sharing app has been providing some absolute gems in the memes and challenges department this year and they're not slowing down anytime soon.
The meme started with 18-year-old Sammie Lewis, who posted the original video on TikTok in February. In the clip, Sammie takes a huge slurp of her drink, gulps and then lets out an "Ahhh," in satisfaction. She then begins to tap on the camera, before uttering the famous line: "Here's [taps] the motherfucking [taps] tea."
The video went viral and now everyone's recreating it, and sharing the results online.
People are putting their own spin on Sammie's handy work.

The original video is actually a lot longer and less irritating. After Sammie – who has 739,400 TikTok followers – finishes tapping on her screen, she explained how she bumped into a boy she used to go to high school with at her work and how asked for her number, despite already having it.
Now she's delivering a variety of "here's the tea" videos on TikTok.
