Everyone is doing the "two-step then cowboy boogie" on social media.
Blanco Brown has inspired the viral 'The Git Up' dance challenge and, honestly, it's iconic.
2019 is officially the year of TikTok sending country songs up the charts. First Lil Nas X's 'Old Town Road' went Number 1 all around the world and now Blanco Brown's 'The Git Up' looks set to do the same. The single is currently a US Top 20 hit and it's only just getting started.
Fans can't get enough of its catchy hook and step by step dance routine, so much so that it's inspired 'The Git Up' challenge which currently has over 29 million views on TikTok alone.
If you're wondering where 'the two-step then cowboy boogie' comes from, it's this song.
The challenge is pretty simple. All you have to do is follow the exact moves that Blanco sings in the song. The chorus goes: "Go'n and do the two-step, then cowboy boogie // Grab your sweetheart and spin out with 'em // Do the hoedown and get into it // Take it to the left now and dip with it // Go'n throw down, take a sip with it // Now lean back, put your hips in it // Let's have some fun."
Essentially all of the moves are inspired by already popular dance moves and Blanco has tied them together in one routine. Genius. Still confused? Blanco has posted a handy tutorial on YouTube, which makes each part really easy to learn.
