The memes about Zac Efron in 'Extremely Wicked' are already out of control

Fans are recalling Zac Efron's 'High School Musical' days after seeing him as Ted Bundy in 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile'.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, a Ted Bundy biopic now streaming on Netflix, Sky Cinema, and in select theatres, inspired strong reactions even before it premiered. Zac Efron plays Ted Bundy, the infamous serial killer who committed gruesome crimes in the mid to late 1970s. After seeing the film, viewer reactions range from feeling "sorry" for Bundy to others joking that Efron's new role is a far cry from Troy Bolton in High School Musical.

While the movie certainly covers dark territory, the internet's memes and reactions to Extremely Wicked and Zac Efron are almost as wild as the film itself.

People couldn't help but comment on Zac Efron's Troy Bolton past.
