The internet has already turned Detective Pikachu into a meme and it's perfect

Pokémon Detective Pikachu has become the object of the internet's undivided attention and the memes are glorious. From Jigglypuff's fur and sinister gaze to Pikachu's voice, provided by Ryan Reynolds, the internet has a ton of hilarious THOUGHTS.
The trailer for Pokémon Detective Pikachu has arrived and it ascended to dizzying heights of internet meme-worthiness the moment it hit screens. Voiced by Ryan Reynolds, this live action Pikachu is definitely not the same yellow creature you used to watch on Pokémon as a kid.
Detective Pikachu and his associates are definitely different and the internet is having an absolute field day.
POKÉMON Detective Pikachu - Official Trailer #1
The memes about Detective Pikachu are pure gold and should be preserved in the Smithsonian, if I'm being perfectly honest. Pikachu has a deep gruff voice (thanks, Ryan), Jigglypuff is furry instead of pink and smooth, and people seem to be a mix of very confused and very excited for the film.
Not to be dramatic but Detective Pikachu is now the President. I didn't make up made up the rules.
Not to be overdramatic,, but I would literally die for detective pikachu pic.twitter.com/c21kcS6QrG

What is Pokemon Detective Pikachu actually about?
Per the film's synopsis:
"The story begins when ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son Tim to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry's former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu: a hilariously wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth who is a puzzlement even to himself. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to communicate with one another, Tim and Pikachu join forces on a thrilling adventure to unravel the tangled mystery."

Surprised Pikachu went viral on Twitter not too long ago and now we have a whole 3D Pikachu detective? The memes grow up so fast.
People don't care what they look like, they're HYPE to show up and show out for Detective Pikachu.

Detective Pikachu may be the star of the film, but Jigglypuff is already quite the scene stealer.

The debate around Jigglypuff's fur is electric, but the internet seems to be coming around to the idea of that particular monster having hair instead of smooth pink skin.
Pass it on: the mood for 2019 is pissed off looking Jigglypuff holding a microphone. Thank you.

All we can say is, the Pokémon Detective Pikachu memes are so unbelievably good. We hope to see everyone in theatres (and in their Pikachu costumes) when the film is out next year.
